Over the years, composite resin material has developed significantly. They are quite strong and can last for many years. Many composite fillings nowadays last at least 5 years. There are many occasions in which they can last more than 10 years

Composite restoration/fillings do not last forever. It can be break or loosen after along period of time. The everyday chewing, /grinding can break and weaken the existing composite filling.
