Invisalign is a series of clear aligners that will straighten your teeth sequentially.
The length of one's invisalign treatment will depend on the complexity of the case & oral condition. Upon consultation, Dr Labalan will determine the time needed to correct your alignment, however the duration of an average case can take 9-18 months.
Dr labalan will assess your teeth, bite, and goals, check for issues like decay or gum disease, and confirm whether Invisalign is suitable. Photos, X‑rays, and digital scans may be taken.
The scans & photos are then sent to the invisalign manufacturers and will usually take around 6 weeks to produce.
Once the aligners are all back from the manufacturers, Dr Labalan will check the fit on your teeth. According to your treatment plan by Invisalign, Dr Labalan may need to add tooth-coloured, composite tags to guide the teeth to alignment.
Patients will take 3 sets of aligners each time. Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks before changing to the next aligners. Every 6 weeks, patients will have a scheduled appointment and Dr Labalan will check the fit and progress, and provide the next three sets of aligners.
Once all of the aligners are completed and teeth have tracked well, Dr Labalan will remove composite tags and impressions are taken to make retainers to maintain your newly aligned teeth.
