Tooth Extractions

Our goal is to promote good oral health and comfort to our patient and help them keep your teeth as long as possible.

However, sometimes a tooth extraction is necessary.

Tooth extractions or removal is indicated when a tooth is badly broken down due to caries or
fracture, very loose teeth due to the destruction of the surrounding supporting structures caused by
periodontal disease. Non-functional wisdom teeth and teeth for orthodontic treatment are the most
common reason for extraction.
The removal of single or multiple teeth can have a significant impact on your bite and jaw long
term. The shifting or movement of the adjacent teeth brought about by the removal of teeth can affect
the alignment of your teeth, which can cause food traps and plaque retention making brushing
difficult. Dr Labalan will be happy to discuss the best alternative options for you to restore the
missing teeth.
