Dentures
Dentures are customized removable oral appliances created to replace lost and missing teeth to allow a person to smile, chew, and speak to get his or her confidence back. The denture is usually made of acrylic or plastic but the denture teeth can be made of porcelain as well. This can either be a full or partial denture, depending on the number of teeth missing. It takes a few appointments to finish the appliance, from impression taking to fitting and adjustments. When the denture is placed, allow sometime before you get used to it. At first, it may feel awkward and thick to have a new appliance in the mouth but over time you will be accustomed to using it. Though dentures are not real teeth, proper hygiene care must also be practice daily.
